A native of northern Nevada, Cherie Ralston now lives in a 100 year-old house in Lawrence, Kansas, with her husband of 33 years. They have three grown children.
Quilting since the late 1970′s, Cherie is both a maker and a designer of original creations. She loves to mix piecing and appliqué in her quilts. She has perfected a foolproof method of Invisible Machine Appliqué – an easy technique that looks like hand appliqué.
Cherie has previously collaborated with many well-known quilt artists, including Gerry Kimmel-Carr, Alma Allen, Karla Menaugh, Jan Patek and Barbara Brackman. She wrote Stars All Around Us: Quilts and Projects Inspired by a Beloved Symbol for Kansas City Star Quilts.
